Day 15 Victoria BC -Olympia WA

September 2017

September 19

We are booked on the 10:30 ferry back to Port Angeles as we will spend a night in Olympia WA before coming back to Canada via Seattle to Vancover. More on that decision later.

We are quite happy to be mainly sitting today after all that walking!

US Customs requires us to be at the ferry ninety minutes prior. We are assigned our lanes and we read and organize photos. US Border Patrol approach each car and then one of us takes our passports to be read. We then board the ferry.

Leaving Victoria.

Approaching Port Angeles.

We take the time to check out Port Angeles famous murals. Check back on Monday for three of them!

John found a few more.

While I checked out The Art on the Town program which includes the “Avenue of the People”, a 15-piece outdoor sculpture exhibit that conveys a story of everyday life in a small town, by Bob Stokes.

We noticed several street signs in downtown Port Angeles in both the English and the Klallam language. The city’s waterfront park and the street signs were created to honor the Klallam tribal history.
